Prof. Khalid EL MAJDOUB is a Moroccan professor of Automatic Control and Electrical Engineering with over two decades of academic, research, and pedagogical experience. Currently affiliated with the National School of Electricity and Mechanics (ENSEM) in Casablanca, Morocco, he serves as an Aggregate Professor in Electrical Engineering. His contributions span advanced modeling, nonlinear and intelligent control systems, and power electronics, particularly in applications like electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. Prof. EL MAJDOUB is a recognized figure in international research communities, regularly publishing in top-tier journals and participating in leading engineering symposia.

Prof. EL MAJDOUB’s academic journey began with a Technical Baccalaureate in Electronics (1994) at Jaber Ben Hayane Technical High School in Casablanca. He obtained his ENSET Diploma in Electronics and Computer Science (1998) and later achieved the Aggregation in Electrical Engineering (2001) at ENSET Rabat. He earned a DESA in Telecommunication Systems (2006) from Tetouan and completed his Ph.D. in Applied Sciences (2012) at the Mohammedia School of Engineering (EMI), Rabat, with a focus on vehicle chassis modeling and control. In 2018, he received his Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) in nonlinear control and system observation.

🧪 Experience

With a career starting in 2001, Prof. EL MAJDOUB has held academic and supervisory roles at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He served for 15 years at the BTS level, teaching subjects ranging from DSP, VHDL, Power Electronics, to Quality of Electrical Power. At ENSEM Casablanca, he continues to design and deliver innovative curricula in Digital Regulation, Electrotechnics, and Industrial Automation, all while mentoring student research and contributing to international collaborations in engineering.

Prof. EL MAJDOUB’s research interests include nonlinear and adaptive control, intelligent systems (fuzzy/neuro-fuzzy control), and the modeling of complex electromechanical systems like electric vehicles, in-wheel BLDC motors, and magnetorheological dampers. He also actively explores renewable energy systems (solar, wind), IoT applications in electrical engineering, multi-level converters, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in system modeling and control.
